CALLOUT STANDARDS & CREW POSITIONS

> NASAR SARTECH II Certification or Higher.
> AHA CPR, First Aid, and AED or higher Emergency Medical
certification kept current.
> IS-100, 200, and 700 courses completed.
> Hazmat Operations.
> Pass a Physical Fitness Assessment test.
> Complete 24 hour pack to the Team and NASAR standard.
> Complete uniform and other required equipment.
> Active participation for training.
> Active participation in fund raising and other public events.
> Approved by Officers and Advisors.
Callout members are reviewed quarterly. A system is in place
to return to the Callout Roster after a period of inactivity.
Trainee: Only allowed to attend training sessions.
Crew Member: Second Year members who meet the Callout
Standards.
Crew Leader: Usually a Third or Fourth year member.
SARTECH I is preferred.
Field Leader: Fourth year or higher who is a SARTECH I with
advanced skills and experience. Able to manage two or more
Crews in the field. Recommend that they have completed MSO
or MLPI.
Assistant Operations: Fourth year or higher with skills and
experience in Search Management and ESAR operating
procedures.
Operations Leader: SARTECH I and completion of SAR
management courses like MSO or MLPI. Able to manage an
incident and interact with allied agencies. Requires
experience, skills, and knowledge in Search Management.
Crew President: Elected Youth Officer responsible for the
overall administration and operation of the Crew.
Vice President for Training: Elected Youth Officer responsible
for the planning and implementation of the Training Program.
Vice President for Administration: Elected Youth Officer
responsible for administrative functions.
Associate Advisors: Adult members who are assigned to be the
leaders of the year groups or a specific logistic function.
Crew Advisor: Adult member responsible for the overall
operations and administration of the Crew through the
management of the Youth Officers and Adult Advisors.
